Objective

  1. Through inclusive education disabled and non disabled grow up together in a healthy atmosphere of equality and mutual respect with positive attitudes towards all in the Higher Secondary School.
  2. To achieve the academic excellence, development of Skills and Character formation of girls based on the love of God through Inclusive Education, Vocational Training according to their level of intelligence and abilities, thus making them good citizens of the country.
  3. To provide the counseling facilities to the parents and members of society who are involved for the better result of the children’s education in our Institution.

About Our School

Jeevan Jyoti has sailed a long journey, beginning from the year 1975 with its Special school and now has grown to an Institute.  It continues to grow humbly and to expand courageously with the ever generous grace of God.  Sr. Irene founding member, Sr. Anupa, Sr. Abhilasha and all the pioneering sisters of this institution Who  peerlessly worked hard and dedicated their services for the last 46 years. They have toiled these more than four decades by unsurpassed with efficiency and excellence. They are an inspiration to us all.

This institution educates and rehabilitates the visually impaired persons through various departments.

  1. Special school cum Hostel facility for 130 visually impaired students
  2. Community Based Rehabilitation programme catering for more than 1000 disabled person with disability in 15 villages in our locality.
  3. Vocational training Centre is caring for 10 disabled youth.
  4. JJWalkabout Rehab Centre for 43 children with Motor disability
  5. Human Resource development trains every year 30 young people securing diploma in teaching the blind children. (DSE V. I.)

“Inclusion elevates all”

The institute has its general aim of bringing the children with disability in mainstreaming. Over the years, the whole world is progressively going towards the inclusive system of education. Keeping this in mind, in the year 2011 the Institute began its New Project of Inclusive Education School mainly for girl children. Inclusion is extremely important for kids with and without disabilities. “When everyone is included, everyone wins”

This school like any other schools has its same curricular and extracurricular activities on its syllabus. The visually impaired girls are included in this school from class 6th onwards. 43 students of special categories of disabilities are studying from Class VI to XII with sighted Students.
